Getting ready to go

I´m counting down the days before I leave - two to be exact. Whilst the rest of Europe is roasting away, Crete is a balmy 30 Celsius with lows of 20 degrees... It´s winter here in Sydney, so I am keen as mustard to get there. I keep checking my packing cubes and adding more... 

Nothing new has happened at the house. We can´t do anything with the roof until we have permission, and we can´t get permission until I have the house in my name and a tax number there. I have to do this in person.

Everyone who hears the story says this sounds so romantic. It would be if it weren´t for all the red tape. They say it should be a movie.  If it were, the audience would have walked out by now... Not long now... stay tuned.
